Locata Corporation (Locata) is a privately owned Australian company that has invented a new radiolocation technology that provides precise positioning in many environments where GPS is either marginal or unavailable. This is completely revolutionary technology and set to change the face of positioning as we currently know it.
The Locata technology will be provided exclusively to the mining sector as Leica Jps (Leica Jigsaw Positioning System) and is ideal for open-cut mining when GPS signals are blocked in deep pits or against high walls.
